# Privacy Policy — Abacus+ **Effective Date:** 20 August 2026 **Last Updated:** 20 August 2026 Abacus+ ("we", "our", "the app") is developed by Vijayvir Singh (Antfire Labs). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding it. By using Abacus+, you agree to the practices described here. --- ## 1. Information We Collect ### a) Data stored locally on your device The app stores the following on your device only, using Apple's UserDefaults / iCloud Key-Value system. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync via your Apple ID. - Level progress and unlocked levels - Daily challenge streak & completion history - Timed Drill scores and leaderboard entries - Selected theme, sound, and haptic preferences - Purchase records (coffee count, ad-free status) You can erase all of this by uninstalling the app. ### b) Information collected by third parties **Google AdMob (advertising)** Abacus+ displays banner and occasional interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect: - Device advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) - General device information (model, iOS version, language, region) - IP address (for ad targeting and fraud prevention) - Approximate location (country/region level, derived from IP) - Interactions with ads (impressions, clicks) Google's use of this data is governed by their own privacy policy: You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads (off). **Apple StoreKit (in-app purchases)** When you make an in-app purchase (coffee tips or Remove Ads), the transaction is processed by Apple. We receive only a receipt confirming the purchase — we never see your Apple ID, payment method, or personal billing details. Apple's privacy policy applies: --- ## 2. How We Use Information - To provide app functionality (save progress, personalize experience) - To display advertising that keeps the app free (via AdMob) - To process in-app purchases (via Apple) - To improve app stability (crash reports via Apple) We do **not** sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. --- ## 3. Children's Privacy Abacus+ is a general-audience educational app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has used the app and information was inadvertently collected by our advertising partner, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to have it removed. Parents are encouraged to enable **Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions** to limit in-app purchases and advertising on children's devices. --- ## 4. Your Choices & Rights Depending on your region (EU, UK, California, India, etc.) you may have the following rights: - **Access** — request a copy of any data we hold about you (we hold none directly; app data lives on your device) - **Deletion** — uninstall the app to erase local data; opt out of personalized advertising via iOS Settings - **Objection / Withdrawal** — disable App Tracking Transparency, disable personalized ads, or stop using the app To exercise any right, email **virvijay37@gmail.com** with the subject "Privacy Request — Abacus+". --- ## 5. Data Retention Local device data is retained until you uninstall the app or reset your device. Advertising and analytics data collected by Google is retained according to Google's own retention policies (see link above). --- ## 6. Security Because Abacus+ stores data only on your device using Apple's sandboxed storage, your data is protected by iOS device-level security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, hardware encryption). No method of electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. --- ## 7. International Users Abacus+ is available worldwide. By using the app, you consent to any data processing that occurs in your country or in the servers operated by Apple and Google, which may be located outside your country of residence. --- ## 8.
