FARM NOTES PLUS — PRIVACY POLICY Last updated: 1 August 2026 Ant Fire Labs ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Farm Notes Plus (the "App") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. 1. SUMMARY (IN PLAIN LANGUAGE) • Your farm data (fields, crops, activities, workers, ledger, reminders, photos) is stored ON YOUR DEVICE. • If you are a Farm Cloud subscriber AND you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, your data is also stored in YOUR OWN iCloud account. We (Ant Fire Labs) never see, read, or store your farm data on our servers. It stays between you and Apple's iCloud service. • The App does NOT ask you to create an account with us. There is no email/password sign-up. • Free users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect limited device identifiers to serve those ads. • Weather is fetched using your device's approximate location — only when you grant location permission. 2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT 2.1 Information you create in the App All the farm data you enter (fields, crop cycles, activities, photos, workers, attendance records, ledger entries, reminders, notes) stays on your device by default. It is either: (a) local-only, or (b) synchronised via your personal iCloud account (Farm Cloud subscribers who have enabled iCloud Sync). We do NOT collect, upload, read, or copy this data to any server operated by us. 2.2 Device permissions the App may request • Notifications — used only to fire your own reminders locally. • Location — used to fetch weather for your field's coordinates. You can revoke this any time in iOS Settings. • Photo Library — used only if you attach a photo to an activity. Selection happens through Apple's system picker; we don't scan or index your library. 2.3 In-app purchases / subscriptions Subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple shares a receipt / entitlement status with the App so we know whether you are a Farm Cloud subscriber. We do NOT see your payment method, Apple ID email, or billing details. 2.4 Advertising (free users only) Non-subscribers may see banner, interstitial, and app-open advertisements delivered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect standard advertising identifiers (e.g. IDFA if you allow tracking, IP address, device model, coarse language / country) and may show personalised ads if you have granted Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can opt out any time by disabling tracking for Farm Notes Plus in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and/or by subscribing to Farm Cloud to remove ads entirely. See Google's policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy 2.5 Diagnostic / crash data If you have Apple's "Share App Analytics" enabled in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymised crash logs and usage counts with us. We do not tie this data to any individual user. We do NOT operate any custom analytics SDK. 3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION We use limited information only to: • deliver features you asked for (weather, reminders, sync); • verify your subscription entitlement; • serve ads (free tier); • fix bugs from anonymised crash reports. We do NOT sell your personal information. We do NOT profile you for marketing. 4. iCLOUD / CLOUDKIT (SUBSCRIBERS ONLY) When Farm Cloud sync is enabled, farm data is stored in Apple's CloudKit inside your personal iCloud container. Only you (and devices signed into the same Apple ID) can access it. Apple's privacy policy applies to that storage: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ If you cancel your subscription, sync stops, but your local data on each device remains untouched. You can delete iCloud data any time from Settings → Danger Zone → "Erase iCloud Data on All Devices". 5. YOUR CHOICES • Turn OFF iCloud sync from Settings any time. • Revoke Notifications / Location / Photos permissions in iOS Settings. • Reset onboarding, re-view permissions, or replay the app tour from Settings. • Erase your data locally OR from iCloud from the Danger Zone in Settings. • Cancel your subscription any time in App Store → Subscriptions. 6. DATA RETENTION & BACKUPS (IMPORTANT) We do not retain your farm data on our servers because we do not store it on our servers. Your data lives on your device and (if enabled) your iCloud. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA LOSS. Data may be lost due to device damage, iCloud outages, Apple ID changes, uninstalls, sync conflicts, or bugs. YOU should: • Export important records regularly (CSV / PDF from inside the App); • Print hard copies of critical ledgers, attendance sheets, and reports; • Keep independent backups outside of this App. See our Terms of Use for the full data-loss disclaimer. 7. CHILDREN Farm Notes Plus is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly. 8. INTERNATIONAL USE Farm Notes Plus is available worldwide via the Apple App Store. Data storage locations depend on Apple's data centres for iCloud and are governed by Apple's own agreements. 9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS The App may link to external websites (e.g. Apple Standard EULA, Google privacy policy, Ant Fire Labs website). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. 10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. 11. YOUR RIGHTS Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we do not maintain your farm data on our servers, most of these rights can be exercised directly from within the App (Settings → Danger Zone → Erase All Data / Erase iCloud Data).
